- The Floating Palette and Toolbars
- Quick access to various functions and tools in MacPublisher
- is provided by a Floating Tool Palette and two tool bars: the
- Attribute Toolbar, which is the upper of the two toolbars appearing
- just below the menu bar, and the Text Toolbar which appears directly
- below the Attribute Toolbar. The Floating Tool Palette, is displayed
- as a vertical column of icons, initially placed on the left side of the
- screen.
- The Toolbars consist of buttons and boxes with pull-down menus. The
- Floating Tool Palette consists entirely of buttons. Clicking on a button in
- either the Floating Tool Palette or the two toolbars either performs a
- command or activates a tool. The buttons are represented by icons that
- provide some indication of what clicking on that button will do. The
- boxes are used to enter specific text or attribute values. This is
- accomplished either by using the pull-down menu activated by clicking
- and holding on the downward facing arrowhead to the right of the box
- and selecting the desired value, or, when possible, entering text directly
- into the dialog box.
